this sounds like a job for......MiniEd!
Well, there is a group of people working on intergrating the Nokia 82xx line to work with the handsfree features of the A4.
To my knowledge, it requires a lot of know-how on the microphone circuits, and other components of the car AND the phone.

Yes...all the infos are belong to Ed and Me ;-) We're ready to spin another design
hopefully this one will be the one to get the thing in lots of peoples hands. Ed and I are nearing the light at the end of the tunnel on this revision. There may be one other thing to follow on to this...but we'll see, what we have now I'm pretty sure is going to work nicely.

Other than the smoke that came out of it on the bench all went OK ;-)
yeah it went perfectly...the thing was being WAAAAY underbiased in the past. I've got that all taken care of...the signal is a strapping one now...several volts pk~pk this is a good thing for SNR (Signal 2 Noise Ratio) we knock it back down in our box...with a bunch of filters and a gain control. Ed and are working on wrapping up this proto as I type...AIM'ing back and forth as the schematic comes together.
BTW - I'll try to get your mic back to you as soon a possible...foam would have been a good idea...showed up in one piece...but it could have gotten messy if it was stepped on or something. Thanks again for loaning it to us...saved the waste of buying one...plus Clair was being a biatch about it...demanded my VIN even after I said I don't car...just gimmie a 99 mic...I ended up hanging up on the guy.
