Hi,

Anyone out there with experience with Q-Logic boxes? Are they decent quality or just pieces of crap? The price is pretty darn good, considering its quite a bit more for custom box from a good stereo place (I don't have time or know-how to make my own.) How thick are the walls? JL recommends 3/4" thick walls on sealed boxes for their subs.

Also, as for subs, anyone have recommendations between the following three subs:

JL 10W6
PPI Powerclass Pro 10
Boston Acoustics Pro Series 10

I would just get a single 10. I want really clean and responsive sound - but I read that the A4's trunk is pretty insulated compared to other cars...Let's say I use a Rockford fosgate 360a2 to power it. The JL is a little on the boomy side, I have yet to hear the PPI and BA subs, but will try to do that later this week.

I'd appreciate any insight...thanks!

I noticed that you are interested in a single 10 inch sub. I have this setup in my car, although I went with a MTX275 amp and a Diamond Subwoofer 10inch box. I definitely feel the bass with most music but as you said the trunk is well insulated, so it is not boomy. But keeping the sub fixed right up against the back seat really helps. After two weeks of breaking the sub in, it sounds great, so you may want to check it out.

The box quality is decent. I ran one in my ZR-2 blazer with a 12" Pioneer Diamond Plate Sub. Hit the lows with no boominess or box distortion.

The box is really small compared to my old eclipses. I point it at where the old ski sack is and get rid of the ski sack.
My trunk is still big enough to put the factory 16" wheels in there and still lots of space on either side of the subbox.
