Default AFC 2.8 V6 12: O2 sensor issues

O2 sensor issues
I had the following code on B2 S2 (driver side rear) for a while:

16540 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B2 S2: Malfunction in Circuit
P0156 - 92-00 - Unknown Error Elaboration

Bought generic 4 wire O2 and spliced in (on driver side, downstream)
black to black (signal)
grey to grey (ground)
purple (O2) to white (car) for heat
white to white for heat

Now I have 2 codes:

16525 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S2; Heating Circuit: Malfunction
P0141 - 92-00 - Unknown Error Elaboration
16540 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B2 S2: Malfunction in Circuit
P0156 - 92-00 - Unknown Error Elaboration

a) I had the trans out a while ago. Could it be that I mixed up the O2 sensors? And cut the GOOD sensor (driver side wired to B1S2). And this new sensor is NOT wired properly (or not working with the car)
b) B2S2 is still the bad sensor, but installed on passenger side.

c) any ideas how a generic 4 wire sensor with black, grey, purple and white wires should be connected to the black, grey, white, white car wires?

Buying crappy parts is a false economy.

To that, I can agree. Should have bought 4 wire Bosch generic.
But certainly NOT the OEM sensor(price is 3-4x higher, just because it has a "OEM" connector).

I disagree. I'm not a fan of the "universal" sensors. I prefer to pay for the right stuff to avoid wasting time and doing rework.

Default Bosch 4 wire O2 sensors

I found these Bosch 4 wire sensors
a) 15729
b) 15738

Does someone have the specifications for those 2 sensors?

I have used the Bosch pigtail O2 sensor kits with great success. They are on partsbin.com.
There are lots of O2 sensor guides to make sure your front or rear and Bank 1 and two connections are right.
The cheap generic O2 sensors I tried would only last 30K miles.

I have successfully used two Bosch 13275 sensors for the rear positions on my 1996 A4 V6. These are 4-wire Bosch sensors with black, grey and two white wires designed for mid-1990s Chryslers; have been working fine for years and you can buy them for less than $40 each. Key is to splice them in correctly.

Don't waste time with non-Bosch sensors - BTDT.

I've also got Bosch units spliced into the original connectors, front O2s, no complaints. However if I was doing this as a business, I would naturally install the OEM parts.
