Default After changing TB there is a mechanical whine that correlates with engine speed.

I thought the noise would just go away, but it hasn't. It is only noticable at slow speeds, because it is otherwise covered up by road noise. My car is running fine, but the noise is bothering me and I don't think it should be there. Any thoughts on what the noise could be or how to fix it?

Default I will check that.

I don't think is has to do with breaking in. It has been present for almost 5k miles.

Default AC tensioner seems to be a common response. I will definitely check it out.

Is it hard to adjust the tension on the belt or replace the tensioner pulley?

Default You might be able to reach at it from the bottom, the shop took an hr to do it charged me $60!

just see if you can wiggle the thing, if you can then its probably bad, very inexpensive to replace
