Whats the trick for locking out the self leveling function?

Default I'm not getting the motors.
The guy I'm getting the lights from needs them for his new rig.

Get a pair of the white shipping plugs which snap in where the motors go.

Default it can't...but you can aim them manually from what I've read
I don't have auto leveling gear in the 99.5 A4, so even with the motors, no dice.
