I've got a car with the neat key fob for remote entry and immobilizor but no alarm. I've been told by the local Audi dealer that an alarm is not avail as an Audi accessory. It has to be ordered with the car new.

Does anyone know a supplier of an after market car alarm that will integrate with the std remote entry system?

Did you get the Convenience Package? I suppose you did, which is y you got the flip out remote/key. Try locking the car with the windows down and after 30 seconds, when the lights blink at a slower speed, stick your arm in the window and wave it around. There should be an alarm. An easier way is to just check if there's a button on the inside of the driver's side B pillar. If so, you have an alarm. If not, get one.
