Default Aftermarket Headlight Help... Please

i purchased aftermarket headlights for my 1999 Audi A4 1.8L Turbo. i couldnt put them on however because the aftermarket headlights had a different connector from the car so i couldn't plug them in to each other. Instead of losing $45 returning them, I wanted to know if there was an adapter so that i could simply plug and play these headlights.

edit... im not sure of the brand because they were an ebay item
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=012&sspagename=S TRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=22011006266 1&rd=1,1#Desc

also if u look at the post by almighty one, it is the complete opposite for me as far as the connectors go but same situation in that the aftermarket headlights cannot connect to the car. so sorry for the confusion

Default what exactly are you trying to do? What do you have now, H7? The year of your A4 would help

and what brand and model of headlights are you trying to install?

Default *Shakes head* I have NO idea what that all meant.... you've got issues with that whole post.

What kind of lights are they. What year and model is the car etc etc.

Pics are helpful....... and your car was not made in the US. No.

Default Is this what you need?

I put euro projector headlights on my 98.5 A4. The new lights came with the connector on the left attached to bare wires. I cut the connector (on the right) off of my factory lights and built the piece in this picture to make the new lights plug into the car. Hopefully you can do the same.

I purchased aftermarket headlights for the car but i cant connect it using the wiring for the original headlights because the connection on the aftermarket headlights is different.

the above link is the picture for the connector of the aftermarket headlight but the connector from the car itself is rectangular shape so they dont connect to each other. i see the post that almighty one made so i will look into doing that. sorry for the confusion

yeah, i would something like that except the other way around because the connector on the left is the same for the stock headlight while the connector on the right is the same for the aftermarket headlight

Now we're talking. From what I can tell, it looks like you'll need to get your money back

Default then I just explained it backwards

I did that in 1999... I can't remember all the details. The job is still possible if you have the new connector and the one from your old lights.
