Default aftermarket stereo ideas

I have been looking around for an aftermarket deck that would look good in my b5 a4 but nothing has been jumping out to me, I am not a fan of the single din cage I would put in the double din slot leaving a an empty unused spot. I was wondering if anyone could post a pic of their aftermarket deck setup or if anyone had any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

PS, I did search the forums and found a few but I want more ;-)

Default I like the look of the stock HU

I've been thinking about this too. I want to upgrade my tunes and I think I have a plan. I want to run a 5 channel amp off the Symphony and then upgrade the cabin speakers and add a small concealed sub, either an 8" in a sealed box or a 10". Then add one of the ipod adapters to the Symphony.

I haven't done this kind of thing before but it sounds reasonable to me.

Is there something about the stock HU you don't like? I realize that it's stock but it pretty much does everything I want it to, I just want better sound.

Can you not run additional amps from a stock deck?

I do like it, but I want to be able to have sub control on the deck and be able to tune it better, I don't have a Bose system.

Default Did you read about the "hidden equalizer" in the FAQ?

I'm not sure this would be enough for you but I think it's pretty cool and I think I'd be satisfied with more sound and less distortion and maybe a little boom.

Default untroof

my car has a single din alpine 9835, just enable the blackout function and change the button colors to red and it wont stick out too much during the day. When it's dark, it'd just blend in and hardly noticeable.
