again, no proof that it did anything -- my MAF was already maxed out anyhow.

Default I wouldn't swiss cheese it like that. I did the foam mod in this link. Similar idea...

Default yeah we did pretty much the exact same thing
logs showed pretty much no difference in mid-range power.

we did the logging on twentyvalve's and his MAF was already maxed out w/the k04. so not sure if it did anything to peak power.

filter was really dirty.

Default that just makes the air suck in from the bottom of the engine bay instead of the top
the mod above sucks it in from the wheel well

no its not. that takes in air from the engine bay still. we drilled through the wheel liner.
