Default Air Conditioner

Does anyone know where the low pressure valve is located on a 1996 A4, I located the High pressure valve which is connected to the radiator, but have no idea where low pressure valve is located???

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks,

RJ

There is no low pressure valve on the 1996 A4 specifically for charging. There is a low pressure sensor which is located on the top right side of the engine compartment ( left side if your facing towards the back of the car ) where the low pressure tube passes through the firewall, that can be unscrewed giving access to a schraeder type valve which may possibly be used for charging with the correct adapter. However, as I discovered, the 1996 A4 is charged via the high pressure valve and it seems that very few shops are able to do it besides Audi ( convenient eh!). I had a local shop instal a port on the low pressure side so that it could be charged by any automotive A/C shop.
