Default air intake question.....
is there any difference between like a k&n drop in air filter or a cold air intake (link below)? if so, what are the differences, preformance wise.
its for a 98 a4 2.8 quattro. thanks!<ul><li><a href="http://www.lltek.com/aik.htm">cold air intake</a></li></ul>

Default Yes, you get a blow off sound with the CAI
but I would never pay 300 dollars for a filter and a u-bend pipe. Just make your own.

Default is there a DIY for the intake
just wondering if anyone has the DIY instructions to make a cai for a 2000 2.8 a4

Yea attach an open element filter to the MAF and put some heatshielding around it
