Airbag Control Module Code help
Just put in a new airbag control module in a 98 A4Q. My last one wasn't responding and would not reset. Now I have I have one fault. Does anyone have a quick fix for "L-N153 Seat Belt Tensioner Ignitor - Resistance value too large".
Where is it located, can I fix it, or do I need a new one. Thanks in advance.

Re: Airbag Control Module Code help
Need to know if the control module is coded correctly. What year is your car, and does it have pyrotechnic seat belts, 2 front 3 rear, or just 2 front 2 rear, and is it an avant, & what airbags are in it.

There's all the coding variations for your car. If you figure out what specific component that fault is for, maybe your car's coded to have something it doesn't, and that will set a fault. If it does have it, and is still setting a dtc, then you'll have to diagnose that component.

Here's some possible causes......
00654
Seat Belt Tensioner Igniter, L - N153 -
Resistance value too large
Open circuit in wiring
Harness connector for left seat belt tensioner igniter disconnected
Seat belt tensioner igniter faulty
Airbag Control Module -J234- faulty
Left seat belt tensioner (driver's side) does not function
- Repair wiring according to wiring diagram.
Electrical Wiring Diagrams,Troubleshooting & Component Locations - Reconnect harness connector.
- Replace left seat belt tensioner.
- Replace Airbag Control Module -J234-.
I'd pull the trim back & see if the tensioner is plugged in. It may need to be replaced.
