I was driving earlier today with someone in the passenger seat who moved it all the way back, when the seat got moved back the airbag suddenly went on. I checked the wiring under the seat and nothing looked like it got pinched when the seat moved so i scanned it with a vagcom and cleared the "passenger side airbag igniter resistance too high" code. The light stayed off for a while and i moved the seat back to its normal position. Later in the day i picked someone up and the light went on again but simply from them just sitting in the seat this time. I scanned it and it was the same code again, anyone have any ideas what could be causing this or what i can do to fix the problem?
