Default airbag light - need a new airbag module

So got my car back from the dealership took them 2 days of looking at it and it needs a new airbag module they quoted 1300 but thats bevhills/santa monica audi dealership so I imagine I can get it done for a lot less. Has anyone had this replaced before? Does anyone know of any audi specialists or anywhere that can fix this in the LA area?

Default Oy, that's about DOUBLE what MSRP is on that

8D0-959-655-G, $672.05 MSRP. Craig@GVWAP.com (closest to you) will sell it for $517.81.

Default Two days ? Meh.... they didn't even look at the car the first day...

they just left it parked.

Dealerships blow.

Do what I did and buy a used airbag module that's guaranteed to work. I got one on eBay. It cost me around $ 40.00 plus shipping. I installed it myself but there are ten million people in greater L.A...... ton's of shops around as you already know.

Yeah already found another shop to do it for less. They said 3 hours labor + part but also that they had to set the numbers on it? Not sure what that means...

Default You have to soft code the unit before use, but after it's installed, for your car's airbag options

Refer to the Bentley manual for the correct coding.
