which airbag module to get

How do I know what airbag module to buy? Im going to try my luck with a used one bc I dont have $850 to spend on a new one. I have a 2001 1.8t fwd.

A used one may be blown. Go to dealer, give them your vin number, and ask for the CORRECT part number of the SRS module. Then go and buy it. Or find it, and recode it.
