I have a 2000 B5 tqm, and my airbag light came on about a year ago. I recently scanned it and got the following codes:
Address 15: Airbags Labels: 8D0-959-655-AI8.lbl
Part No: 8D0 959 655 K
Component: Airbag Front+Seite 1002
Coding: 00104
Shop #: WSC 06335
2 Faults Found:
00588 - Airbag Igniter; Driver Side (N95)
33-00 - Resistance too Low
01217 - Side Airbag Igniter; Driver Side (N199)
32-00 - Resistance too High
If I clear those codes, and the problem is persistent, will it throw those codes again, or do I risk the aitbags exploding in my face? I'd just like to see if I messed with something way back when that triggered the car to throw the codes or something....
Thanks!

in fact, I doubt you could make the airbags go off by doing ANYTHING with VAGCOM.

"Resistance too Low" frequently means the circuit was opened while the power was on. Has anyone recently worked on the steering column?
Clear the codes, and see if it comes back. If it does, there may be a loose connection.

Where are the locations of the connectors? I am pretty sure there is a connector under the driver's seat... Are there others under the dash? I'll look at the tech section, but any locations you know of would be helpful.
