Default Dammitt, how dare you! Lol..actually, you're right. And, a good cordless drill with a socket adaptor

will be cheaper and way more useful tool not only in the garage but around the (future) house as well.

Default I use my air tools all the time.. Ratchets, impact, etc..

If I can get an air tool in place, that's what I'll use..

Default If you ahve to ask yourself (or us)...you dont need them...

I could have used them when i did my turbo (for like 5 bolts)
i used my freiends when i did my suspension...it was realy nice to have, but you do suspension once, and take parts of it apart a few other times.
an impact is nice for chnaging wheels.
thats about it...
basicaly no one ever NEEDS air tools, they are just nice to have, if you ahve the money to blow, go for it. i say get a decent electric impact for chnaging wheels, and deal with the rest of the stuff with a breaker bar, and save a buncha money.
my good friend has a fully equiped garage , and i get to use it for the cost of a meal or 2, maybe 3 (depending how long i use the place for). and i ahve a crappy 2 hp compressor and a ****ty impact, i dont even realy bother using it, sometimes for wheels.

Default I'd not touch a car unless I had my air... You are much less likely to break bolts with air...

I use my butterfly impact for anything I can get it on.. If I can't use it, I use an air ratchet.. I only use hand ratchets on stuff that is not likely to corrode in place..

Default Once you go with air, you can't go back...

I use my impacts and wratchets all the time. Plus, it's nice to have air for cleaning parts, inflating tires, etc.. I have a small sandblaster, paint guns, saws, grinders, a 1/8th inch highspeed grinder..
