Default alarm

why does my alarm always go off when I lock it with my key fob and leave my windows cracked? When all my windows are closed, its fine and doesn't go off. The same thing happens on my dad's A8.

There is a motion sensor. You can turn it off with a button on the driver's side b-pillar

Default He is close. The interior senses pressure change, so wind has a tendency to set the alarm off.

It is quite frustrating. I've tested this theory by leaving the windows cracked (or all the way down) with the car in the garage (alarm on) and the alarm was not set off.

Either way he is correct that the button on the driver's side B-pillar disables interior sensor(s).
