When i looked at the car and i locked it the alarm sounded the horn and the lights blinked telling me that the alarm was activated. Now i brought it home and the doors just lock, no lights signal to tell me that the alarm has been activated. Nor does that little red light next to the lock on the drivers and passenger doors blink. The car however works when i de-activate the alarm. The Blinkers flash, ect ect.....could this be an eletrical problem??

and the service manager said i had to reset the chirp and to lookin in my handbook...there is no chirp reset. He also said i had to turn the horn and light feature on for when i lock it....

If not, try the vag locator find someone local who has it and they should be able to recode the module for you. At the same time, have the person check the codes under instruments to see if something is up.
