All 4 brand new 17" Mak wheels out of round, Proper pressure? Is it the wheels? Any suggestions?

I just recently picked up some mak wheels and some Pirelli P7000 SS to go with. I had them on for less than a week and they got damaged which I noticed from vibrations which turned out to be the wheels are out of round. I got them fixed they are like new they just got heated up and straightened. I had around 30 psi in them. Is the low pressure the cause of them bending? Or is it because it is a week rim? What can I do to so this wont happen again? Any info on proper PSI for a 17inch wheels with 225/45 17's.

I was very happy with them and felt that they were a great value compared to other makes. Most important, MAK was formally a small part of TSW until it was bought out buy the current owner. Still operating out of the TSW building in SoCal the owner will take your call directly and I have found him to be most cooperative. For example I had sratched on of my wheels and he offered to replace it for a drastically reduced cost. I would buy MAKs again but I don't want to switch the OEM (S4) wheels from my current car...but I'm tempted.

In fact if anything 30 would probably have helped prevent the rims from bending. Higher pressures mean there is less give in the tire when you hit a bump.
Really sounds like you need to evaluate your driving style - MAK are a good wheel. Are there more than one driver? It really sounds like there are some very bad roads or poor driving going on. The fact that you just got them and this being winter - perhaps you were exploiting the most out of the car on less than perfect roads.
Anand is right about the pressures (I run 40) but that is only to improve the handling - not to protect the rims from road abuse.

How does the pressure on the tire vary from what is specified by Audi? I ask, not knowing what difference is caused by aftermarket wheels.
I ended up shortening the life of the tires on my '95 90 due to keeping them inflated at the pressure on the tire, rather than the Audi specs (about 7 psi less)
