Default That sounds pretty good, few questions though...

Do you have to solder the one wire or is it a cut and splice situation. Also, what brand interface would you suggest? I would be using a MiniDisc player instead of an iPod, but I'm guessing that would still work through a plain aux in?

Oh yeah, last question -- would the new concert stereo have to be programmed for Bose or can you buy them already set up that way. I'm currently without a vag-com so that might be an issue

Thanks for the idea, I've been searching through tons of posts on this method as it seems to be the way to go

Default Thanks - I'm somewhat interested but

I might go with the concert / interface option. However if that doesn't pan out I'll be very interested in the changer.

How much are you looking to get for it?

Default Border Collie. Very smart dogs....

....sometimes way too smart. Leroy passed away a little while ago.

We picked up this little fella, another BC:

You have to change one wire. Older pre 98.5 don't have a K-line to the radio (which is how Vag.com talks to the car). I tapped into the line on the climate control. Once you do that you can swap the concert into the car and program via vag.com (yes you need one, the $50 OBDtool or ebay ones will work).

I used a blitzsafe adapter for about $70.They make iPod or MP3/ Aux versions.

You will find it difficult to locate an 8 pin changer(audi protocol) for the Delta. They are obsolete and generally only available on e-bay. I sold my delta and changer for $300 after upgrading my car.

More questions e-mail me.
