To all the people with nice A4's out there, do people constantly try and race you??

one cant get his $4000 worth of HP from them, because compromising streetability is not an option for the majority of the 'german car owners'.

I was on 54 on my way out of Chapel Hill and some guy in a 325is wants to race. I think he was a little suprised as I slowly pulled away...
Yeah he didn't have the fastest car in the world, but it was still satisfying.

This happened a few nights ago on my way home from work.
I was in the right lane, stopped at a light. Ahead the road narrows from two lanes to one, so people who come up to this light in the left lane often race off when the light turns green so that they can get ahead of everyone in the right lane and merge right.
I also know that the local constabulary often checks the traffic coming from this light with laser radar.
So, this 2002 BMW M3 pulls up next to me, in the left lane. He starts revving. He looks over. I rev a little in reply. He revs a lot more.
The light changes. He screams away.
I stand still. Then I slowly start off.
About 200 yards down the road, there's the M3, on the berm. Behind him is a cop, lights flashing and blazing away!
LOL

but i never race. i like the look on their face and leave them wondering how fast i really am and if they could really take me. the new ones are pretty fast though...i wouldn't mess with one of those...
