Default if ur gunna be only snow driving...narrower the better.....

if a year round thing, and perf. and handling is a thing to consider...wider is better. I had 225/50 on my 16" 5 spokes w/o a problem, should have came that way IMO.

Default is a 215/55 side wall higher than a 225/50 side wall?

I have a 225/50 right now and just wondering if this 215/55 might be a bit too high?

Default I have them on my car right now...

They fit great and fill up the wheel opening very well. I think they look pretty good. That size is very good in the snow and on the 215-55 the side wall is a hair higher then on a 225-50.

Default ^^What he said^^ but the 215-55 is a good compromise FWIW. I like mine but...

The next time I buy summers (I live in Maine so true snows are always used in the winter) I will be buying 225-50's. For snows I have always run 215-55's with great success.

Default not too high i dont thnk, but yes it is higher....205/55 and 225/50 have....

nearly identical side wall. the 215 will make it odd, 215/50 will be lower profile than the 2 abover, and 215/55 will be taller than both.
