Default the real bosch 5bar fpr is a motorsports item which costs ~$200.

i'd rather spend the $200 on larger injectors.

So all said and done, get an adjustable FPR or just stick with 5 bar?

Default recommended injectors and a 3bar (fixed) fpr is the easiest and cheapest.

if you dont mind vag-com logging, buying a fuel pressure guage and tweaking, then get an adjustable one.

the crushed versions work just as well so long as they are crushed properly

Default well they are EV6 injectors, and they basically have the same flow rating.

who knows about the spray pattern, etc.

btw the 31lbs quoted on the GIAC site actually equates to 325cc/min NOT 310cc/min...

just to add more confusion. that is why i HATE names like "redtops" etc...its just confusing all around.

also, i get the redtops as being 315cc/min+ when using bosch numbers.

Default but they're not specified for the software he's using, that's the problem

and 242cc injectors @ 5bar is way less fuel than 310cc @ 3.5bar

Default eh, you totally misread the thread...

basically he is using slightly larger injectors than the redtops. the "242" was an example that I used to size my injectors.

and 242 at 5 bar is almost exactly = to 310cc @ 3bar

ugh, me so stupid. I used 242@4bar to start. duh. That's what busy at work will do to you
