Already STFA, How can I get away with a clutch change for under 1500$
I pritty much learned to drive stick on this car (well half on the coupe gt! heh I'll miss that car) and the other 10k miles of abuse have been on the A4. Anyway I should probably get the clutch changed if I plan on keeping this car long term, though the biggest barrier to not selling it (to avoid changing clutch) is this....
I haven't been kind to my clutch so I'm probably gonna need a new dual mass flywheel (since you cant resurface them) which will be 700$ + 250$ for the clutch kit and just thats 1000$...
btw this is assuming my friends and I don't have the technical skill to do it right ourselves..
I appreciate any input from you guys and the answer to this question may be the one that persuades me to keep the audi and not buy a 2000 saab 93 just to have a cheap to run car with a little style...

Ok, flywheel resurfacing question than...
Everything I've heard says it's both very dangerous and illegal to resurface dual mass flywheels and I don't think they do it in CA...
Lightend flywheel is an option but I dunno about running a LFW on the street. My friends Jetta has one and I don't really like it.

Ok I hope your right, so to confirm...
Southbend will resurface my flywheel?
I want a clucth that will last a long time, so I don't think the soutbend clutch would be appropriate, especially since I'm stock
So Ok I'm stuck with 250$ for clutch and 250$ for labour pluss 100$ for flywheel.. 600$ total.. Well that does helps a little, thanks.
