Default Alright, the time has come. Audiboy needs a brake upgrade. Bembro/StopTech/A8...

What's the best kind to get and also what are some sites that have stats of the breaks and such.

Yes, I've used search, but I'd like some more recent opinions of people who have upgraded recently.

TIA!

Default do you track the car?

if not, there is no point in you getting a big brake upgrade. I'd go with slotted A8 upgrade it i were you (that is, if you dont track the car)

Default Consider Stasis also...

Jeremy, considers any other upgrade like A8 a waste of time, unless you go for a full upgrade like Stasis Stoptech...

You should give him a call..

K, I talked to Jeremy @ Matrix, sounds like he favored StopTech's quite a bit...

Default Yes, "Priscilla" (being the car) doesn't go on the track at all.

I can see why a huge brake upgrade isn't needed, but dammit, I almost had a 16yr goth chick in my works parkinglot run into me and I would've liked to stop a bit faster than I did.

Naturally I backed up and she smiled and waved at me but for the rest of the night I was like:

Dammit, that would've sucked to been hit by a buick.

Default big brakes are an upgrade to reduce fade (like in a track situation)

better pads and tires will help you stop a little quicker.

Default Well tires aren't an issue... since i'm running S-O3's right now, but better brakes would be nice.

And it looks like the StopTech brake upgrade is $2G's huh? I guess I'll have to ask the woman if it'll be an okay purchase or not. *sighs*

Default have you tried the APR sure grip pads or Perterfield R4S pads?

they are supposed to be an improvement.
