Default Aluminum Interior Trim FAQ

Has anyone tried stripping the interior trim to reveal the aluminum underneath, as stated in the Interior FAQ section of this site? I was thinking about this, but fear that the aluminum would somehow become discolored after a while. What do you guys think? Has anyone tried it? How does it look?

Default As we speak. I am having this procedure performed on my 1.8T.

However, I will also have it polished to match the interior door handles and shifter gate on the tiptronic. Will let you know how it comes out. Email me on Friday and I will update you.
