Am I missing an ABS fuse?

Looking at my fusebox and manual this weekend, I notice that there's one socket that the manual says should have a 25amp fuse for the ABS system. I think this was socket #38 but I'm not sure.
Anyway, does anyone know if the manual is wrong? If not, then am I driving around with a disabled ABS system?
The car is a 98 A4 2.8qm.
TIA.

would result in about 10 seconds worth of beeping and a constantly lit ABS light on the dash on every start up and would continue while the ignition was on, until I replaced the fuse. If you don't have this it might be an indication that your ABS is working.

no fuse in the slot as stated by the manual.
I think it's normal to not have a fuse there. I've been in situations where I felt the ABS kick in (very rapid vibration on the brake pedal, the car stopping fairly quickly, and no lock up) and again, my fuse is "missing" too.
