Default Agreed

Certainly lets you know what's going on inside your motor that a visual inspection simply cannot tell you. Well worth the $ at least once a year.

Default Well, so do our engines. As Joey T said, 3k miles it is....

I shouldn't be the one to say this as my last oil change was in February about 6k miles ago.

Default Yes. Whenever he cust went over 3k between changes, they had sludge buildup.

Kinda like the A4. The marketing BS about long life/long interval maintainance is just silly.

There is no way I want to go more than 3k withoutgetting under my car and looking around.

Big 2nd. 5k on M1 for me as well. Sometimes 1K miles during the race season.

Default You just can't go 30K *****-nilly...

You still need to change the filter regularly and have the oil analyzed. You can get oil sampling kits from where you buy any Amsoil products. But if you don't use their bypass filter system, you are probably better off just changing your oil when you change your filter.
