Another stock sport/Bilstein pic...
I posted right after I had the shocks installed and was not happy with how the car looked with the stock 16" 5 spoke wheels (put on so the installer wouldn't scratch up my shiny new Lolas). The front looked too low and the rear too high (lowest perch on the the fronts, second from lowest on the rears). The front looked ghetto-Honda to me, where the guy keeps his 14" wheels on a slammed car.
Well, I put my fun wheels back on (17"), and it looks much better. I'll still probably put the rear shocks down to their lowest perch in a couple weeks, but overall, I'm much happier than when the 16s were on.

Re: how much did u lower it?
I didn't measure it before I put the shocks on and I haven't measured it since, but it was at the stock sport suspension height.
It's definately a bumpier ride, but it's not harsh. It's not too big of a step from the stock sport suspension to this setup, comfort wise. The tires I have have a really stiff sidewall too, which adds a bit to the bumpiness, but again, it's not bad at all.
The car and I are in northern California.

Yes, you were the one that put the idea in my head...
...I didn't want to spend >$1k for coilovers and was resigned to paying ~$750 for shocks and springs until I read your post. My first post after I got the shocks installed (last week sometime) was titled something like, <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a4/msgs/1228799.phtml">"I did the djnelsen".</a>
Thanks for doing my research for me .
