Default Another Strut Question: If the strut is blown, then the car height is lower?
Im trying to figure out if my rattle noise problem is due to a bad shock. Would this cause the height of the car to come lower?

Default Yeah, but loss of the pressure in the shock will certainly
cause the car to sit lower where the blown piece is.

Default Not necessarily, I had two blown shocks in my old A4...ride height NEVER changed...
but the ride quality changed drastically.

Default It depends on the type of shock.
Some will affect the ride height and some will not.

Bilsteins most commonly will have a very dramatic difference in height due to the extremely high pressures in their shock.
