Do any 1.8T owners out there have an aftermarket exhaust but an otherwise stock engine, i.e. stock ECU.

If so, what do you think? Any noticeable power gains?

I realize a chip is the most cost effective performance mod.

I had my Neuspeed exhaust on for a month before I chipped. No real gains IMHO.

With a chipped car, the exhaust makes a difference. Faster revving, slightly better throttle response. With the low boost pressure of the stock setting, I think you'll see less of an improvement. If you plan on chipping your car later, it doesn't hurt to do the exhaust.
