Default any advice on replacing my windshield?

took a few rocks lately, left with a crack and a divet. is there anything i should be concerned with? the crack is small...maybe 4 inches and not deep. the divet (which happened today) is only like 1" from the end of one crack to the other. i'm going to replace it, but is this something that needs done like right now?

Default you can wait for a while to replace it..

don't do any super high speed runs just for safety of course. I've driven with a 6" crack for a week and a half or so.

Default check if windshield replacement is in your insurance policy

in NY state, it is required by law that you have your windshield covered under your insurance policy.

Default yep, wouldn't have known if it wasnt for this goddamn rock

i was on the NJTP driving to the GF's and a truck spit it out from under its tires and left a crack about the size of a quarter in my windshield. top layer was completely shattered since i was doing like 70mph at the time (it sounded like someone fired a gun in my car). parents were pissed then checked insurance policy. all is well and the new windshield is holding up nicly..

btw this was in my beater (thank god) 89' 325i

Default Usually covered under comprehensive witha small deductible...

in the $25 to $75 range.Sometimes on a small chip ,the insurance company will absorb all cost and have a glass company use the method that seals the chip with epoxy.I'v ehad that done twice on my policy.
