Default any bad/good experiences with OEM bosch ignition wires

My car is basically stock so I'm not looking for any high end ignition wires (no need to spend the money if it isn't not going to change anything). Any suggestion?

You have coils there is no need to change the wires.

Default What year & engine?

I have a 99 with a 30v, which does employ good old fashioned spark plug wires. Stock wires have 72k on them and the car runs fine.

I wouldn't bother changing them out unless they're obviously bad. Check for any cracks in the insulation or connectors which would allow some of the energy to escape or allow moisture in. If you have a multimeter you can test the resistance: each wire should be 4-6k Ohms, anything higher would be bad.

Default how would I go about checking the resistance

Would I simply place one lead on one end and and the other on the other end of the wire and read take a look at the resistance?

Default Yup, that's right

Almost any multimeter will read resistance in this range. One test lead connects to the spark plug end, the other lead connects to the coil end. Test each wire one at a time.

Default Age is the biggest factor,

the insulation gets brittle and cracks over time. Mileage isn't that big of a deal.

Like I said, don't bother replacing them unless you find a good reason to. You could replace them just for the fun of it (and to guarantee that they're working at their peak), but if money's tight I'd just leave them be.
