one of the plastic rear hinges on my A4s armrest lid has cracked, so the lid no longer functions properly. Has anyone else had to replace the lid? If so, did the dealer have access to the material the lid is covered with? I have cloth on mine.
I don't have access to EKTA or a shop manual here at work, so any BTDT is appreciated.

The rear hinge didn't break, so it's a different situation from yours. But i was getting sick and tired of the lid opening and spilling the contents on the floor.
So I purchased a magnetic catch from the Home Depot kitchen department. And it works great.
If your rear hinge broke, then I would assume that it is not holding the lid in the proper position, and the "lock" won't hold it closed.
You can start with a magnet. It won't fix the lid, but it might alleviate the inconvenience for now.
And speaking of Home Depot parts, any chance that you can replace the hinge altogether with a cabinet hinge? I hear that the center armrest parts are really expensive if you get them from Audi. Just a thought...
Good luck,
Peter

that extends on the one side. well, you know what it looks like. Anyway, I'll have to investigate.
$90 is what I've heard they cost.
