Default Any correlation between coil pack failures and cold weather?

I haven't received confirmation from the dealer yet, but I'm pretty sure i just had another coil pack die. I didn't drive it all weekend (it was warm last Friday), and it was cold as a witches tit outside this morning.

I didn't have any coils go belly up over the summer, but last winter I had 3 go bad. Then all of the sudden, when it begins to get cold again, same old story.

I figured heat would be an issue before cold would be...

Anyway, I'm past being pissed, I'm more of a beaten down mood... On another happy note, it took almost three hours for the f'n tow truck to show up. On top of that, the old bastard took me on the scenic route to the dealership.

Anyway, enough of my rant, time to go beat the hell out of the dodge intrepid they gave me as a loaner....

Default 3 hours is nothing...took 5+ hours for the tow trucks to get me when my coilpack went

stupid roadside lady sent the truck to the wrong town.

Default According to this unofficial study, such correlation is negative, or non-existent at best.

Default It amazes me how unsophisticated the roadside assistance is their navigation.

They could at least use mapquest or something similar. This morning, I was expected to give explicit directions. How is someone broken down on the side of the road supposed to know anything aside from the nearest cross-street?

The ladies explaination was that the drivers usually have outdated maps....
