Default LA Tint and The Tint Specialists all have metalized tent

If you just want dyed tint, they also have it, as does California Tint. LA Tint uses Formula One tint, Tint Specialists use Johnsons Window Film. Do a search on Yahoo! for either on these for more info.

I had my A4 tinted at The Tint Specialists (703-941-TINT). Cost $200 and got 35% all the way around. Since it's metalized, it isn't nearly as dark as dyed tint so you can get away with it. Check my sig for a pic.

Thanks for the info. i've heard of California tint but not the other two. i was quoted $160 all around tint at Car Trends in rockville. couple more questions...is your rear tint one piece and if so, do they charge extra? how about the warranty?

Default Rear piece should ALWAYS be one piece. Warranty was lifetime.

LA Tint's warranty is lifetime, for any damage apparently. If you scratch it, take it back and they'll put a new sheet on.

Default Tint Plus in Laurel MD...

They do all the tint work for vob bmw and tischer audi/porsche. I got Llumar (metallic) 28% all around (they will likely only go down to 35 but my car had out of state plates at the time so...). Very high quality install. Also normally it's the same for 1 piece on the rear. I actually ended up getting 2pc b/c they didn't have a big roll of the 28 (it was fairly rare and had been special ordered for someone else). Looks fine, they run it along a defroster line. No way to tell unless you look really closely, and if you didn't know to look you would never notice. But...I believe all the 35% installs are 1 piece rear anyway so...

I second that Laurel's Tint Plus are friendly, about $165, and do the job right.

Default I've used LA Tint in Sterling twice...

...and they do top notch work. The rear is one piece, cut using a computer template.

Their warranty is lifetime and covers all defects with the tint, and I think they will even retint the window if the window itself breaks or cracks.
