Do I need to find the orange top optimas with the reversed terminals?
Does Sears make a DieHard International battery that fits the A4?
How do I tie them down?

I pulled it out of my Merkur XR4Ti. It bolts right in, no problems. Sears lists a Diehard battery for the A4 that is slightly longer than my XR4Ti battery, but I don't know for sure if it fits, from the description it looked too long.
If you try the one for the A4, and it doesn't fit, then get the one for a Merkur XR4Ti.
I've heard that Optima is making an orange top battery that will fit our cars. The main problem is the red top batteries have the flange for a clamp on the front/back, but we need them on the sides for our cars. Optima doesn't have anything on their website about the orange tops though.

I bought the one that Sears recommended though instead of pulling it out of my non-existant XR4Ti. It fit just fine, no complaints here.

the terminals were the same dia & went on with ease, the only problem is that optima has a diffrent design of battery tie down & you will need to make a 90deg bend to hold it in place
