Default Any suggestions on how to buy a 2001 1.8T?

Wanting a 2001 1.8T (will eventually chip it). For the car itself, can I expect to pay invoice? Or, should I expect to pay some % over invoice? Anyone have some good advice on how to negotiate the best price possible? Is it better to go through a dealer or an internet service? If it helps, I live in the Atlanta, GA area. Thanks for your help!<p>Wants a:

I bought mine about a month ago in Columbia, SC.
I live in Charleston so I called a few dealers in Atlanta as well. They didn't seem too promising as far as getting a good deal goes.
I managed to pull off a 2.85% over invoice deal with a fairly inexperienced salesman and edmunds.com info in hand (I highly recommend you check this out).<p>'01 A418TQASPBX Silver/Gray Leatherette<ul><li><a href="http://www.edmunds.com/newcars/2001/audi/a4/18tquattrosedan.html">http://www.edmunds.com/newcars/2001/audi/a4/18tquattrosedan.html</a</li></ul>

Default Check here

Check my web page, I go thru some negotiating techniques that I have used successfully in the past.
Expect to pay @7% over invoice as an average. I think that you will do best go thru dealers however you may get lucky with an internet deal. Greenlight, Autoweb, Autobytel, etc...
If you are free this sunday (8/27), meet us at the perimeter mall 11:00am. A few of us from Atlanta are trying to get together.

Default Quickly, they rule! (more)

Seriously though, I paid about 6-7% over invoice at Jim Ellis on Peachtree. Talk to Jerry Willie and tell him Josh Levy sent you.<p>99.5 A4 1.8TQMS APR Stage 1

Default i got 7% here in the seattle area

I tried for 3 days, going to 3 different dealerships, pitting them against each other. But best deal i could get on a 2001 1.8t quattro was only 7% in Seattle Washington.

Default I payed invoice in LA w/following technique

Used CarPrices.com bidding war, Autovantage, AutoBytel.

Once I got price from the internet services, I called a bunch of dealers to try and get a better price.

Basically got them bidding against one another. The final battle was between two of the dealerships that came up through CarPrices and AutoBytel respectively. There were aggressive in saving me money. That's what we want!!
