Is there any way to reset my ecu where i wont end up needing my stereo code?
If you want to clear a CEL, disconnecting the battery on a OBD II car won't work. In fact disconnecting the battery will potentially cause all the learned parameters to be lost and the car will probably actually run worse for a while.
If you need to to clear OBD II codes you need a scanner or a Vag.com, if it's an Audi specific code (non OBD II) you need a VAG.com.
I just wanna know because i have to replace my mass airflow meter, which looks like an easy job, but i would like to know how the computer would respond to it.

You can replace it without disconnecting the battery, don't try to reset the ECU.

Clearing the codes with a vagcom also resets the fuel trim in the ecu and forces the ecu to adapt again.
