Default The question

was how and who, not why.

Default Because

52mm mechanical gauges are clown shoes, I already have a lot of money put into 56mm electronic gauges that I will just move over. The gauge pod for the vents are 52mm, the gauge pods for the steering column are 52mm.

There is a vdo steering mounted gauge on the A4 right now, in a few weeks when I get back from Iraq that is going straight into the trash. So, that only leaves pillar mount. That's what I am used to, no need to break tradition.

Obviously I have my reasons.

disable, remove ~ semantics.

Default Possibly recoding the Airbag computer. You'd have to look up coding options

in the Bentley manual.

Will it work for sure? I have no idea, but it would prevent the Airbag light from coming on I'd assume.

Or these

But clown shoes should really look like these

Yet those are probably larger than normal shoes...
