Default It compresses the cam chain tensioner..

Not too excited about paying $30 for a tool I will only use once.

Default Ahhh, I don't have that one *yet*. How soon do you need it?

I have been meaning to buy it and if it's like $30 (I can't recall)....... buy it, and I'll buy it from you at full normal unshipped cost if you pay the shipping to me. That way you end up in the same place.

Did that make sense? I run a shop here so i could use it, just have yet to need it... but my tensioner is leaking a little... I assume the tool is the same for all years and 2.8 vs 1.8?

Just make one, that's what I did. You can see it in the picture in my .sig. The instructions for making it were in my Chilton's manual.

You'll need 8mm all thread, a few nuts, and a piece of steel. Here's a picture:

In case you can't see it in either picture, there's a little notch cut into one end of the flat piece of steel, to fit around a nubbin on the tensioner.
