right now I have just K&N panel filter, I am thinking about putting either K&N cone filter or HKS super mega flow. Any input? How is their new product line Klasse? I personaly like HKS products.
TIA
Uzanak
98 Avant2.8

I used to have a Akimoto intake cone and piping taken off a kit for a E36 M3 - it sounded pretty neat, and high RPM power was decent, but below 3000 rpm, there was a significant lack of throttle response. I had mines for about 6 months, and then decided to take it off and switch back to the stock airbox and k&n panel filter, which i feel gives much better throttle response. In theory the cone filter is supposed to be better, however i think that the hotter intake temperature negated any benefits realized by the cone filter.
If you still wish to do it, you're going to need to make a rectangular to circular adapter to make the piping and cone fit onto the a4 MAF sensor - drop me a line for more details. I would stress however, that it's not going to increase your performance at all over your current setup (and will probably decrease it quite a bit).
Edmund Louie
98 A4Q 30V

My A4 Page

I think I have read your K&N cone filter conversion on your website. I will still try to put it on my A4. I know that you are right about this but I am bored and do not have much money to spend for mods for now. I will drop a line once I receive filter from HKS and let you know how is that works here in Colorado.
once again thanks for your input...
Uzanak
2.8Avant (TAP, REMUS, A!, Bilstein, H&R...HKS
