Anybody know if this little sprocket on the timing belt gets hot?

in the timing belt install it looks like it's holes are super close to the teeth and looks like one of the 4 90 degrees angle could break off at any time if it were to burn up. What is the size rusted bolt-head that holds it up there? Anyway, the piece i'm referring to is the round circle with teeth about 4 inches in diameter in the bottom of this picture.

with the hash marks on it to keep it in line when changing the belt and tensioner, but at the 12 o'clock position of the sprocket around the top tooth it looks like it may have premature wear from heating and cooling rapidly and being such thin metal at that portion. Just a curiosity, figure it's a 1 in a million chance to loose one of those teeth up in the belt anyway.

timing belt that broke. Ever. Absolutely nothing to worry about there. Good luck with the TB change.
