Anybody know what causes my windshield wipers to only work for a few seconds then stop?
Every time I turn on the windshield wipers they'll run for one or two rotations then just stop and won't start again. Please let me know if you have any ideas, cause it's supposed to rain again saturday!

something getting confused with the action of pulling on the shaft to spray...
when you pull on the shaft to wash your windshield, the wipers do a few passes and then stop. Perhaps there is a short or some computer malfunction that thinks you're in this mode

Well, sometimes it'll work for a good 10 minutes or so, but most of the time just for a swipe or two, and it's not spraying at all, so I don't know. I'd just rather not take it to a dealer if I can help it...
