just had my oil change and tires rotated. don't see how this might be related, but i don't remember the noise before the service.

definitely not the abs. it happens everytime i slow down. lasts about half a second at around 3-5 mph. no jerking or anything, it just makes more noise than i think it should.

Have them switched back to see or run yourhand around the tire and feel for a rough sawtoothed like pattern.

just called the dealer and the maintenance guy said it's probably some residue on the brakes. told me to stomp on it a couple times to burn it off and it should go away. i'll see if it works i guess. thanks for the feedback.

and diddn't use a torque wrench to put your wheels back on. Yes, they work in/for a union and they have to bang out X amount of cars and/or meet a quota but the bottom line is that the wheels should be torqued to FACTORY spec with a torque WRENCH.
In most 'gringing' cases it's just the orange rust residue on the rotors (i.e. after you wash the car and wheels) that goes away in minutes partucluarly during braking.
