New from Forge and Stratmosphere the 004 "Rally" Blowoff Valve. This valve will give you that loud sound that only comes from the rush of air released through a blowoff valve by a turbocharger. This is a very trick piece that can not only give you the performance of our Forge 1.8T Dump/Diverter valve, but the genuine Rally Car air noise famous around the world!
How does it work? You take the machined aluminum plug (included) and plug the hose to your airbox (not the turbo!). Then just connect the 004 Rally valve inlet to the turbo and vacuum lines. That's it! This valve has been designed to function properly and without error in a Bosch 1.8T OEM application. This valve comes standard with a cleanable foam air filter. Fantastic!

....personally I went with a Bailey valve and I'm very happy with my decision. but I thought this was interesting, so I figured I'd throw a little more fuel on the fire in the great blow-off valve -vs- bypass valve debate. :-)

I'd like to see if it ends up fouling plugs or causes a lot of backfiring?
I guess that would be a long term kinda result or compromise.
I mean if it's no more of a compromise than a loud exhaust or a really stiff lowered suspension.... hmmmm
But Forge has been making these things as a retro fit for Escort Turbo's for a while, maybe they found a spring system that lets you have your cake and eat it too...I wish
also I wonder if it affects turbo spool up time between shifts.
But that sound would be coooooL.
Ahhhhh, I give up........
doesn't matter for me since I only have a crappy 2.7T.... =![Frown](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
when one of you 1.8T guys try it let us know

that filter element looks suspect. I've got the Turbo5 intake...that's a pretty legit way to get some bypass noise if you like that sorta thing (I know I do...it sounds bad ***)
I hope it turns out by some magical feat of engineering that this thing works...I'd love a true blowoff valve...could be a lot of fun...you can scare women and children who are standing on the sidewalk when you downshift :-)
