This is a relatively intermittent problem.
After a set of CDs have been in the CD changer for a number of days, I notice that as I forward through the selections using the right arrow button, the changer will, say skip from track 2 to track 6 to track 10. If I go to a different disk, I might start on track 4, then it will move to track 10. I am unable to get to the 'missing' tracks. The pattern is repeatable for each disk, so it seems like the CD changer's memory of the contents of the disks has gotten scrambled.
The fix is to open the trunk, eject the CD carrier, and re-insert it so the CDs reload.
It has happened about 5 times over a few months. I think I'll mention it at my next service. It seems that I should get the changer replaced, as it might get worse as I go out of warranty and then I'm hosed.
