I'm starting to get the "clunk" sound of bad control arm bushings on both the front and rear right side of my '97 2.8Q.

My question...is there any way for me test the control arms for bad bushings? What do I look for?

Has anyone seen control arms with bad bushings off the the car? What wears on the bushing...does the center hole enlarge or is there more sideway play? In other words what makes the metal on metal clunk noise?
