Default anyone else have their heated seats overheat? (ie my biscuits are burning)

I've noticed in the last weak or so my driver's seat felt like it was burning my ***, I didn't have the dial on 6 too much so I didn't pay much thought to it.

But I had it on 6 a fair amount tonight, and the burning was definately there, then while waiting for my KFC it was very bad and I smelled burnt plastic...or leatherette. Anyway, I now have a cigarette-sized melting of my seat and a drivers side seat that is painful whenever the heat is turned on.

I'm hoping/guessing I'll take it in and just get a new seat, but I'm worried that they'll try to be cheapskates on me and try to fix it somehow. The burn mark is obvious and I'm sure if I put the seat on 6 it will continue to melt. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and how the dealer / AOA handled it.

I've never turned mine past 2, even when I lived in Michigan. It's a little overpowered IMO..

Still, it shouldn't have burned a hole through the seat!

Default Yeap had that on my '00. The element went bad. The back was cold while my thighs burned..

Around 30k on the car when it happened. They had to unupholster the seat and replace the elements. But since you have a burn mark.. I guess they will replace the leatherette cover. I had leatherette also.

Yeah, I can't stand 6, I ususally only need 2 or 3 at most. 6 is way too hot.
